What an exciting first week we have had for the Mathseeds Math Challenge! We've had tens of thousands of students competing for a chance to win a prize for their class. With new students joining the challenge every day, we know there is even more fun and learning to come in the upcoming weeks!
In only the first week, participating students have completed almost 45,000 lessons and spent over 126,000 hours using Mathseeds. Thats equal to 1088 days!
At its largest, the earth is about 25,000 miles around. If there were a straight highway around the earth (there isn't) and you could drive non-stop at 50mph (you can't) it would take you about 500 hours or 21 days to drive around the world.
That means in the same amount of time challenge students spent using Mathseeds this week, you could drive around the world almost 52 times!
Look below for our National and Regional leaders for the week. Schools listed below had the top results for the week.
Remember to check back next week for updates to our Leaderboards. Good Luck!
